Pastor Richard Torres  is the Senior Pastor of Bethesda Church. His heart beats to see every soul meet Jesus and every life discover its purpose. The church he envisions is full of love, mercy, and grace—devoted to loving God and loving people with all their heart and soul.

He is a proud father to two boys, Benjamin and Nicholas, and believes his highest calling is caring for his first ministry: his family. A passionate and eloquent communicator, Pastor Richard carries a powerful message that speaks across generations. His deep desire is for all creation to know Jesus in a real and intimate way.

OUR BELIEFS

LOVE

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
Mark 12:30-31.
At Bethesda Church we believe in reaching lives through love. By practicing mercy and grace with EVERYONE and treating others as Christ treats us, we can lead them to him.

WORSHIP

"Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God- this is your true and proper worship."
Romans 12:1.

In our walk with Christ we sacrifice our lives for his purpose. We take up our cross daily and trust in the Lord to lead us in the right direction. Our continual sacrifice is an offering of worship to Him, out of gratefulness for all He has done in our lives. We believe that our lives are no longer our own, and that to truly worship him we must trust in his perfect plan through good times and bad.

SERVE

"God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another."
1 Peter 4:10.
We have all been called to serve God in different forms. Whatever God has gifted us with, we are to practice it on our time here on earth through our service to others. Jesus shows us that He did not come to be served, but to serve. We are to do the same as followers of Christ.
